Human Holos Project Information:

ανθρώπινο όλος πρόγραμμα

Holos is the Greek word meaning "whole." Holism is the view that a whole system of beliefs must be analyzed rather than simply its individual components (Encarta.msn.com). Thus the Human Holos Project is an attempt to dissect various human issues throughout the world we live in with an objective and holistic perspective.

I believe it is necessary to raise awareness because there is a tail to every head of a coin. The most balanced perspective is a holistic perspective that takes everything into account. Thinking holistically is way more productive for our psychological evolution as a species. Whereas dismissing things because of one's bias can only result in counter-productivity. In other words, the best perspective that can be attained allows for all information to flow freely within an individual, without blockages.

At the heart, I feel there is widespread unobjectivity in the scientific community, which is a symptom also commonly exhibited in all or most cultures. In both instances, the unobjective-causing hindrances are very subtle and hard to distinguish. This is important for science because all data is supposed to be objective. However, it's not science that is flawed, it's the scientists and their procedures and biases.

One might care to venture, "but how and why can this be so?"

There is a difference between science and culture. Science is more of a tool, while culture is more of a form of social control with expectations of norm. And the problem comes when people locked by a particular culture try to adhere to science. I submit that culture and science, to an extent, have to be differentiated because of their incompatibilities. One cannot practice pure science with culture in mind. They directly conflict with each other and the attachment to culture must be severed as a prerequisite to maintaining a true scientist's mentality.

I submit, for a solution to obtaining a true scientist's mentality, one must adhere to a form of virtual certainty/absolutism as far as founded principles or even culture are concerned. A mentality where the barriers of definitions, established ideals, etc. are always candidates for change. Thus, one constructs no concrete, so to say, 'barriers' in one's mind that would inhibit alternate information flow. Everything can and should be accounted for.

In summary, scientists are dominated by Eurocentric/Western paradigms of culture and culture is inherently biased. Hence, most modern day scientists are biased. Directly proportionate to that, scientists can't expect to explain everything if half of 'everything' is disregarded. There is a need for further research and an adaptation to holistic, objective ideals. For the most part, research now is profit driven, thus there may not be a will to change. But why not. Why not benefit all of humanity with a science that accounts for all things with objectivism. As the true intentions of the sciences are.

Thus, all the content contained in this site will be centered around maintaining both a holistic and objective perspective when approaching various subjects.

It is my hope that a renewed scientific sense can be realized.
